A Two Day Workshop

APPLICATIONS OF MATHEMATICS TO ENGINEERING

The present day engineers need a
thorough knowledge of mathematics as it is the back bone of any branch of
engineering. Students of B.Tech apply various techniques of mathematics in
their respective technical courses. Hence the students need to get exposed to
various areas where mathematics is applied to their engineering branches. The resource
persons are eminent professors from University of Hyderabad and Osmania
University, who had contributed substantially in various research activities
related to application of mathematics. This tow day workshop will enhance the
application skills of students.

Prof.V.Kannan has been awarded
his Doctorate from Madurai University in 1972 in the
research area of Analysis and Topology.
His current research interest in the field of Topological Dynamics chaos Theory.

He is the recipient winner of Srinivas Rmanujan Awards, Dr.Sanjeevaraya
Sharma Ganitha Award in the year 2009.

He is also awarded the Fellowship
from Indian academy of Sciences and
also the member of Indian National
Science Academy.

At present, he is at the position of Pro-Vice Chancellor at Hyderabad Central University.
